2026 Taipei Water Festival Opens July 4! Two Water Attractions, One Unforgettable Summer!
The 2026 Taipei Water Festival is here! From July 4 to August 30, get ready for a summer full of fun and refreshment! This year, the Taipei Water Department invites everyone to enjoy "Two Water Attractions, One Summer", featuring the newly upgraded Water Country Park at the Taipei Water Park and the highly anticipated reopening of the Water Adventure Park on July 4. Together, these two water attractions offer exciting experiences for visitors of all ages, from young children to teenagers and adults. On the festival's opening day, July 4, admission to the Taipei Water Park will be free, while the Water Adventure Park will offer discounted admission. Families and visitors of all ages are invited to celebrate the start of summer with a day of water-filled fun. The Department noted that the Taipei Water Festival has been held for more than 20 years and has become one of Taipei's signature summer events, as well as a favorite annual outing for countless families. Located within the Taipei Water Park, the newly renovated Water Country Park has been specially designed for children. In addition to brand-new interactive water play equipment, the area now features a variety of cascading water features that create an even more exciting play environment. Meanwhile, the reopening of the Water Adventure Park is one of this year's biggest highlights. Formerly known as Water Monkey Park and Road Castle, the facility has been completely redesigned and renovated. It once again features one of the few large outdoor waterslides and lazy rivers in central Taipei, providing a safe and enjoyable aquatic recreation space for residents and visitors alike. Both attractions are conveniently located within walking distance of Gongguan MRT Station, making them easily accessible by public transportation. The excitement continues throughout the opening weekend with a variety of special events. The Ice Pop Festival, taking place on July 4 and 5, invites visitors to complete designated activities to redeem a limited-edition Taipei Water Festival ice pop while supplies last. The venue will also feature a fair with more than 30 booths, alongside special promotions offered by local businesses through partnerships with the Gongguan Shopping District Development and Promotion Association and local market and night market associations. Visitors can cool off in the water before exploring Gongguan's renowned local cuisine and neighborhood attractions. To make this summer even more exciting for families, the Taipei Water Park has partnered with PILIGILI Water Park at the Taipei Children's Amusement Park, operated by Taipei Metro Recreation Enterprise, to offer reciprocal admission discounts. From July 4 through August 30, visitors who present an admission ticket from either the Taipei Water Park or the Water Adventure Park can purchase a single admission ticket to PILIGILI Water Park at 20% off. Likewise, visitors holding a PILIGILI Water Park ticket can receive the same discount when visiting the Taipei Water Park or the Water Adventure Park. Connecting the Taipei Water Park and Water Adventure Park in Gongguan with the Taipei Children's Amusement Park in Shilin, this north-south collaboration invites families to experience two of Taipei's most popular water attractions in one unforgettable summer, creating lasting memories together. The Taipei Water Department warmly invites residents and visitors alike to join the festivities and enjoy a safe, comfortable, and refreshing summer filled with water fun.
