According to the Taipei Water Department, under the 2025 salary pay scale, the starting monthly salary is approximately NT$47,335 for newly hired Assistant Engineers (with a six-month probation period, after which qualified candidates will be formally appointed), while newly hired Technicians will earn around NT$33,045 per month (with a three-month probation period, after which qualified candidates will be formally appointed). High-performing employees can expect to see their monthly salary rise to NT$64,365 for Assistant Engineers and NT$44,310 for Technicians after five years. In addition to monthly pay, employees are eligible for up to 2.4 months of annual performance bonuses and a one-month performance evaluation bonus. For example, an outstanding Assistant Engineer could earn an annual salary of approximately NT$720,000 in their first year, with the potential to approach NT$1 million after five years.
