2025 Taipei Water Festival Kicks Off on June 28 - Free Admission on Opening Day Two Limited-Time Waterslides Added for a Splashy Summer Fun!
Get ready for the ultimate summer adventure at the "2025 Taipei Water Festival," kicking off this Saturday, June 28, at Taipei Water Park! This year’s theme, “One More Splash of Summer”, invites everyone to make the most of the summer break. On opening day, admission is free, and the park will be packed with high-energy performances, two eye-catching inflatable waterslides, and fun-filled carnival booths—all creating the perfect splash party for visitors of all ages. The summer festivities will continue through August 31, bringing a wave of refreshing fun and joyful energy to residents all season long. According to the Taipei Water Department, the opening ceremony will officially begin at 10 a.m., featuring a dynamic cheerleading performance to set the tone. The venue will also host a bustling carnival with gourmet food trucks, the creative Comma Market, and interactive game booths offering fun prizes. Among the most anticipated attractions are two themed inflatable waterslides—the “Ice Cream Slide” and the “Crab Slide.” These limited-time installations will be available from June 28 to July 13, located in front of the Museum of Drinking Water and in the Fountain Garden of the park. Standing 6.5 meters tall, the colorful slides strike the perfect balance between excitement and charm, offering a thrilling experience for both kids and adults. They’re set to become the must-visit photo spots of the summer. In addition, starting at 10 a.m. on opening day, June 28, the park will host a lively summer fair featuring a variety of themed booths. All citizens are warmly invited to join in the fun and celebrate the start of a cool and exciting summer season. Fill out a quick survey on-site to receive a complimentary gift (while supplies last). Don’t miss the interactive fun zones, including an integrity-themed game station, invoice donation-for-rewards activities, and the beloved water-saving experience truck—a favorite among families. The event blends learning with play for a joyful, meaningful summer. The Taipei Water Department also shared that since the “Water Country Park” opened in 2004, it has brought over two decades of cherished summer memories. A full renovation is planned for next year, so this will be the last summer to experience the current water play area. Before bidding farewell to this beloved water play zone, the public is warmly invited to join a special photo submission campaign. From July 1 to August 31, visitors can upload photos taken in the park for a chance to win a one-year free admission pass. The Taipei Water Department adds that from August 1 to 10, in celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day, the park will feature weekend performances by Indigenous cultural groups. During this period, free admission will be granted to visitors who present Indigenous identification or wear clothing or accessories featuring Indigenous cultural elements such as traditional attire or totem patterns—offering everyone a chance to experience Taiwan’s rich cultural diversity up close. In celebration of Father’s Day on August 8, the park is also offering a special gesture of appreciation to hardworking parents. On that day, parents accompanying children will receive free admission for two adults. Additionally, from August 8 to 9, the Taipei Public Library’s mobile library truck will visit the park, offering reading activities, postcard drawing sessions, and more. It’s a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy both splashes of fun and the joys of reading—making for a summer afternoon that’s both enriching and memorable.
