Taipei Water Department

Earlier today (July 1st), a road surface sinkhole occurred at the intersection of Changchun Road and Lane 46, Qingcheng Street in Songshan District, Taipei City. Upon receiving the report, the Taipei Water Department immediately dispatched personnel to the scene. Preliminary investigations indicate that the sinkhole was likely caused by an underground pipeline issue. Relevant city departments are currently on-site to further investigate the cause. The Taipei Water Department has mobilized repair crews and equipment to carry out emergency water suspension and pipe repair operations. Repair work on the affected water supply pipeline is expected to be completed by 8:00 PM this evening, with resumption of normal water supply.

Traffic control personnel have been deployed to manage the flow of vehicles during repairs. Water supply to approximately 9 directly connected households in the vicinity will be temporarily affected during this period. A water truck has been stationed at No. 451, Changchun Road to provide water for public use.
