“Good Water Exploration Tour” Scheduled for Oct - Dec Open for Bookings from Aug 23.

On August 23rd at 10:00 a.m., the Department will open online reservations for the Good Water Exploration Tour. Reservation process:

  • General public: Please click "Individual Travel" to enter, select the date, time slot and number of reservations, fill in your personal information (name, contact phone number, email address) and read and agree to the terms and conditions, then proceed with online payment (credit card, mobile payment) to complete the reservation process.
You will receive a "Reservation Completion Notification Letter" at the time of booking. You will be notified by email on whether on whether your tour will be held as scheduled 7 days prior to departure. The "Confirmation Letter" shall also include a QR code ticket. If cancelled, you will receive a "Tour Cancellation Notification Letter" without QR code tickets, upon which your refund will be processed.
  • Travel agencies: Please click "Travel Agency Group Booking" to enter, select the booking date, time slot and quantity, fill in the travel agency information (travel agency name, tax ID code, contact person, contact phone number, contact email address) and read and agree to the terms and conditions. Confirm and make online payment (credit card, mobile payment) to complete the booking process. If the applicant is deemed to not to meet the criteria of a travel agency, the order will be cancelled.
Notes:
  1. Travelers must download the TaipeiPASS app and scan the QR code and MY code with their real names.
  2. Passengers should maintain a safe social distance.
  3. Body temperatures should be taken, hands disinfected with alcohol, and masks provided throughout the tour.
  4. Passengers should enter the Museum of Drinking Water in batches. No personal audio guides are available at this time.
  5. The Caoshan Waterway only provides water for collection and is not available for direct drinking.
  6. Please do not damage the natural environment of the water source, violators will be charged according to the Water Supply Act and the Waste Disposal Act.
  7. Please bring your own water bottle, rain gear, and wear athletic wear and non-slip shoes.
  8. The Caoshan Waterway is only open for one morning and one afternoon session each on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with a maximum capacity of 40 visitors. The Sunday morning session is available to the general public at a cost of NT$400 per person (public accident liability insurance included), while the other five sessions are available to travel agencies (insured by the travel agencies).
  9. Each travel agency is limited to one application per week, and if there is a branch office with a different company tax ID, it is considered a different travel agency.
  10. If the minimum number of tour participants is not reached in a single booking by travel agencies, the minimum number of required participants shall apply for billing purposes, with 15 participants for the Taipei Waterway and 10 for the Caoshan Waterway.
  11. The system will automatically open up the remaining quota for other tour operators when the number of participants does not reach 40 for a single batch.
  12. If the trip is cancelled after the reservation has been paid, a handling fee (related operating costs) and penalties for breach of contract will be charged, and a refund application will be made on the Good Water Exploration Tour website.
The following standards for handling fees and penalties shall apply:
I. Handling fee: 5% of the full amount of the tour fee will be charged for cancellation after registration for any reason.
II. Breach of Contract (Penalties)
1. General public:
(1) If the notice is given within the 21st to 30th day before the departure date, 10% of the tour price shall be charged.
(2) If the notice is given within the 11th to the 20th day before the departure date, 20% of the tour price shall be charged.
(3) If the notice is given within the 4th to 10th day before the departure date, 30% of the tour price shall be charged.
(4) If the notice is given within 1-3 days prior to the third day before the departure date, 70% of the tour price shall be charged.
(5) If the notice is given after the departure date, 100% of the tour price shall be charged.
2. Travel agencies:
(1) If the cancellation is made before the 41st day prior to the date of the tour, 5% of the tour price shall be charged.
(2) If the cancellation is made before the 31st to 40th day prior to the date of the tour, 10% of the tour price shall be charged.
(3) If the cancellation is made before the 21st to 30th day prior to the date of the tour, 20% of the tour price shall be charged.
(4) If the cancellation is made before the 2nd to 20th day prior to the date of the tour, 30% of the tour price shall be charged.
(5) If the cancellation is made 1 day before the start of the tour, 50% of the tour price shall be charged.
(6) If the tour is cancelled on or after the start date, or if the tour is cancelled without notice given, 100% of the tour price shall be charged.
