Regarding the Water Main Leak at the Intersection of Chenggong Road and Jicheng Road in Sanchong District Statement by the Taipei Water Department
The Taipei Water Department stated that it received a notification from a local borough chief in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, at 12:07 a.m. today (June 5) regarding a water main leak at the intersection of Chenggong Road and Jicheng Road The Department immediately dispatched personnel to the site and, following an initial assessment, determined that the leak was likely caused by subsidence resulting from roadbed erosion. Emergency repair work is currently underway, and the Department estimates that repairs will be completed before 5:00 p.m. today. The New Taipei City Maintenance Office will subsequently carry out roadbed restoration work. During the repair period, the temporary water suspension is expected to affect approximately 4 direct-service customers and 93 indirect-service customers in the surrounding area. Nearby borough chiefs have been notified and are assisting in advising residents to store water for temporary use. The Department has also established a temporary water distribution station at No. 91, Chenggong Road.
