Rewards:

• For the first informer of a reported location, Taipei Water Department will provide cash reward or  Water Park VIP ticket (choose one) as return. There will be 2 types of rewards according to the size: below 300mm tube diameter will be NTD$100 dollars or 4 tickets; above 300mm tube diameter will be NTD$300 dollars or 8 tickets. If the reported leaking was verified and confirmed to be a damage caused by other construction units, the rewards (apply to either cash or ticket) will be doubled.
• In order to encourage active participation of general public, Taipei Water Department will also provide 4 tickets as rewards for informers who are not the first informer but reported more than 3 times within half year time frame. Don’t miss the chance.
• All rewards winners will be based on the monthly announcement of Taipei Water Department. According to Income Tax Act,Taipei Water Department will issue a  withholding statement by the end of the next January for anyone who received a value at or above NTD$1000 of cash awards or prizes. To collect the rewards:  TWD will notify the reporters to collect the reward. If the winner didn’t collect the reward within 6 months from the date of notification, it will be regarded as abandonment of reward. The ticket is primarily issued as electronic vouchers.
  Taipei Water Department directions for implementing awards program of leaking issue report:
• In order to encourage general public to participate in leaking issue report with the goal of achieving water resources conservation, Taipei Water Department (TWD) announces this reward program  for action incentive.
• When general public discover any leaking issue within TWD service area, they can report by written notification, phone call, fax document, email to any other proper media, The reports should include a specific time, date, location etc. of where the leaking was observed.
• When a leaking issue was reported, the informer is required to provide the name, contact number and contact address. Rewards will not be issued to any incorrect information or deceiving cases.
• Once the reported leaking issue was verified and confirmed by the department, informer may choose one of the awards below. The value of rewards depends on the size of the leaking tube:

1. Below 300mm diameter: NTD$100 dollars or 4 tickets
2. Above 300mm diameter: NTD$300 dollars or 8 tickets

• If there were multiple informers reported the same location of a leaking, the department will only award the first who reported to the department.

• The mentioned ticket in this guideline refers to the Water Park VIP pass. All prizes are subject to changes.
