Taipei Water Department Now Recruiting, Up To 53K Salary for New Recruits Acceptance Rate Expected to be 8.9%

The Taipei Water Department will be conducting its annual recruitment activities for new employees (staff and technicians) from July to August 2023. Vacancies include 17 staff positions for civil engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers, business administrators and business management and 16 civil engineering technicians, with a total of 33 regular admissions and 48 candidates on reserve. The average monthly salary offered to new recruits could be up to NT$53,000! The average acceptance rate over the past two years is 8.9% for staff and 23.09% for technicians.


The Taipei Water Department pointed out that according to the 2023 remuneration standards, the monthly salary of a newly recruited Level 4 engineer will start at around NT$53,455/month after passing the probationary period (6 months of probationary period at approx. NT$43,410/month). The monthly salary of an assistant (management) engineer and Level 1 engineer is around NT$44,180 after passing the probationary period (6 months of probationary period at approx. NT$35,990/month) and the monthly salary of a newly recruited technician is about NT$30,845 (formal employment after a 3-month probationary period). In addition to the monthly salary, employees enjoy performance bonuses, evaluation bonuses and other public sector-related benefits.
