Every Drop Precious: Taipei Water Department Holds First Art Contest to Promote Water Conservation Among Elementary School Students

To advocate for sustainable water resource development, the Taipei Water Department is hosting its first art contest for elementary school students in Taipei City. Through creative expression, the contest aims to instill a deep appreciation for water conservation from an early age. To encourage participation and spark creativity, a special prize of NT$5,000 will be awarded to outstanding students, in addition to certificates of recognition!

The Taipei Water Department, in collaboration with the Department of Education, is organizing the competition into two categories: one for middle-grade students and another for senior-grade students. The theme of the contest is "Sustainable Use of Water Resources in Everyday Life." Teachers who guide the winning students will also receive administrative awards, further integrating the concept of water conservation into educational practices.

The submission period for the contest is from September 10 to October 9, 2024. Experts in water resources and art will evaluate the entries, and the winners will be announced on the Department’s official website in November.
