Summer Must-See! Water Country Park Opens to Public on May 18!

This year, the monthly average temperatures have consistently reached new highs, indicating an early arrival of summer. With the scorching heat, many families are opting for outdoor water activities on weekends. To address the hot weather, Taipei Water Park will open its Water Country Park water recreation area earlier, starting from May 18th (this Saturday), allowing both young and old to enjoy some water fun ahead of schedule. It's anticipated to draw crowds of thousands daily, seeking respite from the heat.

According to the Taipei Water Department, the Water Country Park, located within the Taipei Water Park, typically operates from June to September, spanning an area of around 750 square meters. Equipped with children's water slides, various water features, and cooling facilities like waterfalls, it ranks among Taipei's top choices for summer water recreation. Earlier this year, the park underwent a two-month closure for maintenance and upgrades, including repaving roads, replacing playground equipment, stabilizing water supply systems, refining tile surfaces, and improving safety measures to ensure visitors an enjoyable and safe water play environment. Everyone is welcome to join in and beat the heat with some water fun!

The Taipei Water Department noted that the Water Country Park has been serving the public since 2004, fostering cherished childhood memories for many. Committed to delivering the highest water quality standards, the Department ensures daily water changes, conducts chlorine and water quality checks every two hours, and responsibly utilizes wastewater for cleaning purposes in alignment with the ESG principles.

Outside of the summer months (January to June and September to December), the admission prices for the Taipei Water Park is NT$50 for a full ticket and NT$25 for a concession ticket, offering a great bang for the buck! The park is also home to the "Museum of Drinking Water" and the "Guanyinshan Reservoir" among other century-old monuments to explore, listen to audio guides, and snap away! It's a one-stop destination for a full day of fun!
