Due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought by the low-pressure system following Typhoon Krathon, significant sediment and debris accumulation have been observed near the roads surrounding the Lujiaokeng First Booster Station and the Lujiaokeng River intake on the North Coast and Yangmingshan area. As a result, the intake point is currently unable to draw water, impacting approximately 250 households above the Second Parking Lot of Yangjin Highway (Provincial Highway 2A). The Taipei Water Department has dispatched heavy machinery and manpower to the site to carry out urgent repairs, with the water supply expected to be suspended starting tonight.
The Taipei Water Department has reported that the distribution reservoir at the Lujiaokeng Booster Station currently holds 200 tons of water, which is estimated to last until tonight. To meet the needs of affected users, three temporary water supply stations have been set up at the following locations:
1. Hutian Village Activity Center
2. Hutian Bridge Bus Stop
3. Intersection of Zhuzihu Road and Zhongxing Road
Local residents are advised to collect water from these stations. Since yesterday, the Taipei Water Department has also enlisted the help of local village leaders to inform residents about the need to store water in advance. For any questions regarding the water supply, affected residents can contact the Taipei Water Department's customer service hotline at 02-8733-5678.
